PM4SD™ Certification

Project management and sustainable tourism: this combination forms the basis of PM4SD - the international qualification for managing tourism projects. Project Management for Sustainable Development (PM4SD™) is a specialised certification scheme for Project Managers working in the tourism sector. The scheme is aligned with best practice in project management and includes components specific to sustainable tourism policies and practices and to sustainable tourism criteria and indicators.

This certification is seen as an important benchmark for the competitiveness and growth of the tourism industry. The qualification scheme was developed by APMG-International in partnership with FEST, the Foundation for European Sustainable Tourism, an organization dedicated to supporting governments, academies and organisations in planning, delivering and managing tourism programs and projects with sustainability.
